From 790 in Atlanta the Braves have pretty much wrapped up Peavy he just has to waive his no trade clause.

Looks like the Padres are getting:

Yunel Escobar
Gorkys Hernandez
Charlie Morton

and the other one might be Blaine Boyer.

You're right. My bad. I'm sure tons of progress has been made in the last 30 minutes.

I rather keep morton too. Yeah boyer can get the hell out of Atlanta i can't stand him. I think we have some bad arse short stops in the minors. You never know with the Padres getting Escobar, Khalil Greene will be out there.

i think you might end up seeing the braves shop kelly johnson for a ss and see prado palying second as the leadoff gy

Prado is a 2B anyway. I don't know what they would get for Johnson. It would be nice if somehow Furcal could rejoin them again, but his last contract 3 years $39 mill is a lot.

I'm gonna be pissed if the Braves pull it off...not very often do the Cubs get a good shot at a pitcher of Peavy's caliber

Except that they have Zambrano, Harden and Dempster. You should be pissed. Especially when the Astros have Oswalt, Backe, Wandy, Moehler and uhhh

I understand what you are saying, but the cubs aren't desperate for pitching like most teams. I wish you guys would get Peavy bc him going to the Braves would just be a waste.
