Silly silly man. He overlooks the evolution of neighborhoods in L.A. and the migrations of different ethnic groups.
The fellow we bought Mr. Turf's wooden boat from was in his early 60s. He had lived in L.A. his whole life. His Father had been one of the first plastic surgeons (=money). He grew up in Long Beach and told us the evolution of his neighborhood.
White
Colored
Mexican
Vietnamese
Thai
Honduran
I may have left out Chinese. Those waves of displacing immigrants certainly don't fit his story, do they?

you could say the same about a lot of areas.
New Orleans East where I-10 runs used to be mostly white. Slowly became black and yellow.
