I once had to walk an extra half mile back to the car because of the one at the VA hospital in Birmingham. All over a little old fricking keychain knife about a half inch long. It had sentimental value, or I would have thrown it in the trash.

Unrelated oweoesque story...

LA state capital. Walk in, realize I have a knife on my keys and remember I'm wearing boots, which means a boot knife.

Throw keys in bin and set wallet on top.

Metal detector goes nuts when I walk through. Point to non steel toe boots, told good to go

Go get a shoe shine while I'm here. Realize it's actually an ankle holster right when the old black fellow slid the pants leg above the boot.

Ol baw slid the cuff back over the top and gave me a nod. I've tipped him very well every single time ever since. He could have put me in a whole world of trouble

Nokta simplex

Cut my teeth on Tesoro beep and digs, still have an Eldorsdo Umax. tried a Garrett at pro. Couldn’t find a mode I liked. Bought the simplex off of amazon and really impressed with the flexibility. You can have it set for a beginner mode all the way up to advanced with full notch control. Price is incredible to boot.

Agree with others on garret pinpointer. Tried a clone and it wound up being a paperweight.
