2 future 1st rounders have been hampered by a couple nagging injuries that’s prevented them from really getting going early on. When they start hitting—and they will—it’s gonna extend the lineup, making it exponentially better, and we are gonna explode. Not sure when it will happen, but when it does, shame on our opponent’s asses. There will be nowhere to hide.

And is still below his ultimate ceiling for this year. He’s not doing poorly by any stretch, but when it clicks it will be much better than now.

Morgan is hitting .267

But not exactly someone to worry about

White is swinging like he is hurt. Everything is closed off and opposite field

Well he did have 8 in 1 game. I’m not saying he’s hitting poorly—or White—they’re just a bit inconsistent right now and capable of getting red hot. When Morgan starts barreling up line drives the other way in the left center gap and White starts crushing oppo bombs like he did last year, it’s gonna make a big difference.

Again, I am in no way criticizing them. They’re still hitting well, just haven’t had a chance to get in a groove yet. But when they do, look out.

To be fair Crews has been clutch a few times even though he's had a some uncharacteristic plate appearances and Dugas won us Texas. I do agree with your point that others have helped carry the load for our heavies. I believe that White will continue to become more and more of an asset at the plate as he settles into his Grove more.

White is hurt and pressing. Neither a good thing. White will find his groove shortly. He’s a contact hitter who doesn’t strike out. He puts the ball in play.

Morgan is Morgan. He’s highly consistent and hits the ball hard every time. Sometimes they just go directly at someone. We will take that since someone has to make a play on a hard hit ball. Make the defense work.

It’s so early in the season. Expectations are high because the team is loaded with talent. Jay is doing his best to get early PT for guys that will be asked to contribute when injuries occur or slumps happen.

Sit back, and take it in. This season should be all we’ve talked about.

White looked better yesterday in his approach at the plate

I was impressed on that hard line drive White put over the middle. On an outside breaking ball too. Rare to see “power” hitters do that.

Morgan is one of the best pure hitters I’ve seen in a while. It’s like he’s hitting a beach ball. His vision has to be top.01% of players. Not to mention he’s excellent in the field. He will be a first rounder, don’t see many holes in his game.

I know it’s early and we’re not playing a great team, but White and Morgan are both having nice days, and like I said, it just extends the lineup and puts so much pressure on the opposing pitcher and defense when they’re hitting and getting on base.

pretty good considering he went hitless through that first weekend. He’s really turned it on.
