Now that Saban has cried about potentially having UT, AU and LSU the SEC will accommodate him. His interview the other day is his way of flexing his muscle. The only permanent I see us keeping is Ole Miss and I have no idea who the other 2 would be. That’s just my 2 cents

This is not something the conference office gets to unilaterally decide. It has to be voted on by the member schools. One aspect that is likely to be maintained in any arrangement is a pairing of the top 6 programs in the conference. That’s Georgia-Florida, Oklahoma-Texas, and LSU-Alabama. Each of those 6 will draw one other top half program. For Bama, that’s Auburn. If Alabama then thinks Tennessee is borderline top half, then they need to be willing to surrender that rivalry to get an easier slate. They don’t get to avoid the other top 6 programs just because they claim Auburn and Tennessee as rivals. LSU doesn’t get to hold onto both Mississippi schools for much the same reason. LSU has played Miss St 116 times. Alabama has played Tennessee 104 times. Why is one more important than the other?
