Consider Vlad the Impaler and the Holy Roman Empire's depictions of him. Satan himself, blood drinking mass murdering psychopath living for cruelty and torture. Scourge of the Saxons. Now consider that Vlad's great great grand daughter, Mary of Teck, is Queen Elizabeth II's grandmother. The royal family of a Saxon nation. And the endless war against Holy Roman Germans seemed to continue, they just moved the base from Romania to England

it's quite a tangled mess, races, bloodlines, etc
forced migrations of people
faked news, faked history, faked science
it takes hours of research to find a grain of truth
I feel its worth it, but it does get overwhelming from time to time
