They have cut the number of flights to maximize profit. Especially in light of elevated Av Gas prices.
Airlines are private businesses, I may not like it but I get it.

Apparently the regionals have fewer pilots (captains) so some flights getting cut/consolidated.

Agreed. I make the same trip monthly and all of a sudden prices are way up and flight availability is way down. Rental cars are the same.
ETA. When I say “all of a sudden,” I mean in the last two weeks.
