He played (fantastically) on two of my favorite jazz records ever, which both happen to be Miles masterpieces: "In a Silent Way" and "Bitches Brew."
Obviously, his career requires no heralding, but the man was a magician on the sax.
I wish we had more musicians like Wayne Shorter around, genre irrelevant. He will be missed. RIP.
