The house was built in 2011 and in a few years I will most likely replace what’s in the attic. I didn’t know if I got something else if that would interfere with the Carrier stuff that is in the attic or not.

In most cases it won’t/shouldn’t. I had a similar situation in 2005 - the new condensing unit was not matched with the indoor unit and it operated trouble free until it was time to change the indoor unit a couple year later, at which time I matched the new indoor unit to the outdoor condensing unit. That system was changed out last Wed at 18 years of age - was virtually trouble free during that period, sans a evaporator coil that needed replacement in 2013.
