Going to the Joy Theater on Saturday. Safe parking and places to eat in walking distance? TIA

Can't give you safe. There are lots on canal but you have a 50:50 chance of coming back to broken glass. Even in that garage.

Park in the lot across from the Roosevelt and next to the Orpheum. Eat at Domenica, especially if the timing allows you to catch the half price pizza and wine happy hour from 3 to 5. We usually eat there before Saints night games and were last there last week on Mardi Gras day. One of our favorite happy hours.

I'd definitely not walk around there - 100% rideshare.

Metal detectors are in use at the Joy. Predators have theater full of unarmed folks leaving after the show
