This is why Rah Rah coaches are a risk

You get a rah rah guy up front and instead of hiring actual X's and O's coaches to support him, hire more players' coaches with poor to little X's and O's coaching, and this is the result.
When the team is healthy, you can somewhat get around it, but with injuries, you make limited adjustments, horrible rotations, and see very little player improvement.
It is not a shock and while Griffin is not an awful GM, he's really not that good either. He's made some bad moves that he has bought his way out of with capital that he had to waste, and made bad decisions with guys like Hayes when they needed more fundamental guys. He went for a boom or bust physical player, when many much better/safer prospects were there.
It is what it is. This team simply doesn't have the right drivers on the bus, and are going to gift the Lakers a play-in spot.

The problem was Dantoni is old and only wanted to work a few weeks a year.

Willie is not a rah rah coach. He’s literally cool and collected all the time.

He doesn’t seem to be a good coach either

This. Rah Rah coaches still have their players playing hard. They can benefit with a good surrounding coaching staff like Dan Campbell with Detroit Lions.
Willie Green doesn't seem to light a fire under his players and they just seem to be going through the motions out there. Last year was a different story, now they just look defeated.

Willie needs to be a priest or something. Dude doesn’t even curse, he just stands there with the same stink look on his face while the season dwindles away. At least MuthaF a ref when they make a bad call, your team will respond to that

Willie has no dawg in him and the players are representing that.

Players tend to lose their motivation when they don’t believe in the X’s and O’s. Player coach’s are worthless if they don’t also bring the X’s and O’s.
