at the end of the Bama game?
Peterson and Hawkins at CB
Coleman at SS
McCray at FS
Jones in for Nickel
McCray stopped covering a guy one on one. Eugene was taken out and saw less time. Taylor would take his spot back when he comes back.

It seemed like to me Peterson came in toward the end and stayed in.

don't like McCray at FS IMO

Why do you say that. I think McCray is much better at FS than any type of nickel that he could play. McCray is a good football player he just was playing in the wrong position. To me he is a good safety because he actually wraps up. U have to agree that since he has moved our D has looked much better.

he may wrap up but needs to take down. because of his height, he doesn't take down after wrap ups real good anyway. he's fast and i guess he is good at FS better than LB IMO but i just wish he was a little taller

McCray is not a better tackler than Taylor, but he seems to be a little better in coverage to me.
That said, the 5 backs you mentioned are our best combination right now, I could go either way on Taylor/McCray.
In fact, on obvious passing situations, I'd sub in McCray for Coleman and go with:
Hawkins CB
Peterson CB
Jones Nickel
Taylor FS
McCray SS

Taylor played last game, i think McCray just took his spot

i posted this a few days ago, basically proposed that it was good that Curtis Taylor was injured because it isolated McCray to one objective instead of playing the swiss army knife role in the defensive back field.

you and I are watching two different McCrays. The one I watch can't tackle a 6 year old on crutches.

+1
I love how people thnk because he got in the way a few times he is a good tackler, HE MISSED A BUNCH OF FREAKIN TACKLES against bama at the safety spot! He does not belong on the field, at all!
PP, CH - CB
CT, HC - S
CJ- NB- he also did well filling the holes and could come up to play LB, or Drop back. CJ made some good plays against Bama. Enough to mkae miles retinhk taking him out of the game. EVER!

I've said it since last year and I'll repeat it in all seriousness. I'm 41 and could NOT cover me. PERIOD. And no, I'm NOT using hyperbole there. I've put $20 on that one any day. The guy is AWFUL in man coverage. I suppose if you keep him in zone, he can contribute. But, his man technique is stunningly bad considering that you like to think he's been getting coached on it. I've literally yelled at the TV when I've seen McCray set up for man coverage on some guy in the slot or the TE. I'm like............SHIIIIIIIITTTTTTTT!!!! Of course the QB is saying......
