Dude you just made a claim about Burrow that was completely irrelevant to point of the OP and now you’re looking for someone to argue this irrelevant point.

I can’t speak for OP but I’ll try and simplify it for you: Skenes is an absolute unit, if you were creating a pitcher in a laboratory you take Skenes and clone him. He is that good and has that much talent/potential. It has nothing to do with where they “rank” on your LSU athlete list. Skenes has the potential to do things we haven’t seen done in an LSU uniform and missing the chance to see him in person could potentially be be similar to missing out on Burrow’s Heisman run. Pretty simple.

I like how you roll Ostrich.

You explained it better than me why this Skenes is interesting.

I don’t have near the Baseball knowledge as others here especially specific to pitchers. But what I do notice as someone mentioned above he is not only a Unit but makes it look fairly easy to hit high velocity into a hundred pitches.
His size and that ease of pitching style seems highly sustainable for a long career as well of course barring something unfortunate.

None of us really knew what Joe was until we got about four games into that season. People can say what they want about all of this, but it took time for everyone to believe what they were seeing.

Skenes has shown that before he came to LSU. So I agree with what you’re saying. Now to say that he is better than any other, I’m not going there.
For someone like him (and all pitchers really) the measuring stick is Lloyd Peever. If he does or comes remotely close to what, Lloyd Peever accomplished in 1992 that would be a fantastic season. No pitcher has done that at LSU.

Bertman said and will say today that is the single greatest season by any LSU pitcher ever.
