He didn't. That's been his plan all along. It was obvious. He wisely used his resources on recruiting because he knew last season was completely unimportant to his future.

I have faith that Kelly is a great coach and he has done nothing to cause me to doubt my opinion of him. If he had not made a coaching change to improve the worst special teams unit in the country, it would have definitely created some doubt.
