Most retail-level North Face items.
Most of their gear and technical clothing ie Summit Series is still quality and reasonable value for the money but they have quit making some of their high-end technical clothing like their Himalayan Suit. I have a lot of older NF clothing but tend to buy Marmot, Mountain Hardware, Millet and Rab now. Their Base Camp duffel is still the one everyone else is judged against.

I still wear a North Face Denali jacket and goretex shell that I bought 23 years ago from their outlet stores. They both still look practically new and have had no issues with zippers, threads fraying, holes etc.
I remember exactly because it's the first expensive things I bought after getting my first job.

Yea, they’re both legit. Along with some Columbia products. When I lived along the Arctic Circle I saw a lot of people wearing these brands and then laying in North Face tents.
A true OT baw would kill the bear with a knife, skin it and use the pelt to make a jacket and then recreationally using some peptides to ensure dominance.

I would add Outdoor Research to that list. I love their Helium line of jackets. By far the best technical rain/wind jacket on the market in the $500 price range.
