Mileage is usually reliable but not always...one with 400K on it that has never been ran hot is likely to be less trouble than one with 40K on it that was ran hot for 50 miles. I bought a 2014 F250 in 2014 with less than 10K on it and it was worn slap out....and had, apparently, been submerged partially. Clean title and no unusual warranty activity but that truck was worn slap out before it had 20K on it. Ford eventually bought it back from me because they could not keep crank shafts in it for some unknown reason but it was an adventure...
