If you are from Louisiana, youll be very disaapointed in the food overall. You can get great BBQ and Tex-Mex, so Id just go for that.
The "better" spots are closer into the city. Round Rock is a shitty Suburb. If youre getting a rental car, id go dowtown. The best bbq in the city is Terry Blacks (right outside dtown). Fonda San Miguel is sort of centrally located. Incredible Mexican food and beautiful building. Its 50 years old this year.
Those 2 spots I recommended you will not be disappointed
