quote:
They've been losing about 2 million viewers a year since then, so more and more production isn't helping. 2015 they had close to 115 million viewers and have steadily declined and dropped down to 98 and 95 million the last couple years.
“Sunday’s matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles was the third most-watched Super Bowl ever, as the NFL continues to attract record audiences. The 113 million total audience tops the 112 million Americans who watched last year’s super bowl but falls short of 2015’s record audience of 114.4 million.”
“Rihanna’s halftime show averaged 118.7 million viewers, per Fox, a 15% from the 103.4 million average audience for the 2022 halftime show featuring Dr. Dre.”
So viewership isn’t declining year after year, and people tune in even more for the excess entertainment than they do the actual game.

but when you dilute the game so much that fans of the actual game start to go away or ignore it, the other viewers will go away as well.
Whoops lol
