Connecting flight question

Flying in august to Seattle from Alexandria (AEX). 50 minute layover in DFW. Is this enough time to make the connection and not worry about luggage?

Yes
A 50 minute layover in basically any major airport is totally fine under the assumption that your first leg isn't delayed.

Depends on whether or not your connecting gate is close. The terminal to terminal train should get you there but American has a very bad habit of changing departure gates regularly in D/FW.
If you’re changing airlines and have to pick up your luggage, change terminals, and go back through security, then hell no.
I’d give yourself another hr just to be safe.

I wouldnt do it on separate airlines / purchases but if it's one itinerary with the same airline who will work with you if the first leg is delayed then that would offer enough security for me

Thank you all. Both flights are on American, and there are 8 of us. 4 couples. Leaving out of AEX does give me some comfort, as it is a small airport, and have never been delayed leaving from there.

If your flight is in the morning it’ll be no problem out of a small airport.

I've connected at DFW from AEX on that flight several times with a similar connection time, even international, and didn't have a luggage issue

May as well go ahead and book that hotel in the connecting city now

Lol 8 of you will take up most of the plane out of AEX. I do miss flying out of that airport, it’s so nice for a small airport
