Neither Rees or Steele will have full autonomy at Bama.

For Rees, this is a great career move. Get a year or two under one of the best and get some much needed different perspective on how to continue preparing yourself to be a head coach. He's learned plenty from CBK already. I would say this is a no-brainer for him.

As for Steele, it looks like he's helping himself out with his Alabama retirement, which is a good deal for him. The Alabama RSA is one of the best in the country.

Only real question is whether they are ready for the scrutiny they will get from Saban and the Bama fanbase.

He’ll be 65 next month, I wonder if he’ll get to enjoy it sometime.
