At least Alice Cooper had great songs

He was good early on, "School's Out", "Elected", "No More Mr. Nice Guy." By the mid-70's he devolved into churning out sappy ballads, worse than the Bee Gees.

satanism at the grammy's for years now

LINK

it isn't a troll, it isn't entertainment, it is their church.

quote:

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz denounced the Grammy Awards as "evil" after Sam Smith and Kim Petras performed a Satan-themed set at the ceremony Sunday night.

The pair made music history at the event with Petra becoming the first trans woman to win in the best pop duo/group performance category and Smith, the first non-binary artist.

But not everyone was impressed. "This…is…evil," commented Cruz, a Republican, of the performance in a tweet Sunday.

He was responding to a clip of Smith's performance posted by conservative podcaster Liz Wheeler, who commented "demons are teaching your kids to worship Satan. I could throw up."

In their hell-themed performance of their duet 'Unholy,' Smith wore a devil-horned top hat and Petras performed in a cage while the singers were surrounded by red-robed worshippers.

The performance drew fury from some conservatives, who in recent years have rallied around so-called "culture wars" themes, including transgender rights, and restricting teaching of LGBTQ issues and race in classrooms.

In the press room following the performance, Petras elaborated on the performance: "I think a lot of people, honestly, have kind of labeled what I stand for and what Sam stands for as religiously not cool.

"I personally grew up wondering about religion and wanting to be a part of it, but then slowly realizing it doesn't want me to be a part of it. So it's a take on not being able to choose religion and not being able to live the way that people might want you to live, because, you know, as a trans person, I'm kind of already not wanted in religion."

Grammy's host Trevor Noah made light of the expected backlash by pretending to be on the phone to his mother after the performance, saying: "No, mom, it wasn't the actual devil... Yeah, you did warn me about Hollywood."

In 2021, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's Grammy Awards performance of their single 'WAP,' attracted conservative fury.

Cruz is an evangelical Christian, and evangelical voters are among his core supporters.

Smith is among pop's foremost provocateurs, and has stirred controversy with the video to their new song 'I'm not Here to Make Friends.'

amazes me how many people believe in Jesus, but not satan
can't have one without the other
many of those performers are probably possessed

a super soaker with holy water would have done wonders

I don't think Jesus wanted you to hate people that are different from you.

quote:

The Bible’s doctrine hasn’t changed, society has.

Both have. The Bible is interpreted different by everyone who reads it. You apply your preexisting perspective and moral system to it, hence why Christians pick and choose what parts they like. The Old Testament is overruled when it comes to wearing mixed fabrics, but not when it comes to persecuting gays.

If "simply trying to follow the instructions of jesus" makes you an intolerant a-hole that ruins lives and tries to force your opinions on everyone else, to the point that pop culture loudly mocks you like this, maybe it's time to reassess your situation.

You are absolutely correct. However let’s expand your train of thought. Abortion is a blood sacrifice to their god moloch.

Our church only does this for the Wednesday service. Sundays we just make them park out back.

You are showing your absolute ignorance regarding Alice Cooper.

You see, back in the 70's they had these things called "Albums" which consisted of 10, 11, 12 or more things called "songs".

Just because you are ONLY familiar with the "hits" you heard on the radio, doesn't negate the fact that the aforementioned "albums" didn't contain tons of other songs, many of them pretty incredible.

Also, to be sure, "Only Women Bleed" is such a TERRIBLE song that Franks Sinatra performed it live on more than one occasion.

His post didn't mention race, yet because you see minorities and people different than you as "pets", you start jumping to conclusions.

Sometimes being a bigot is a virtue, sometimes it's worse than being a serial murderer. It's all very confusing.
