I can tell you that my brother is a lawyer and my dad is in construction and they both said the OC Platinum Warranty covers the most as between GAF and OC. The OC Blow off coverage is good.,Atkas won’t pay for replacement labor, only the shingles. OC pays for tear down, installation, shingles, underpayment and labor.

Have had roofers tell me the OC duration with the Tru mail system has withstood the last few way hurricanes better than others.

My dad had an atlas roof that lasted 25 yrs and multiple tropical storms and hurricanes in Scott La.

You may have it backwards or it just depends on how good a relationship you have with your local rep. I know for a fact (at least with my one client) OC sent him a voucher to Stine's for $400 and that was it. Told him the rest was on him. No nails, felt, labor, and he had concrete tiles which they also weren't paying for so now he just has this ugly arse OC roof because it's not worth replacing it with OC's measly $400 voucher.

Whereas I noticed something strange with a roof during install and sent pictures to my rep. He said he would be there the next day. Came and looked at it with me and said you'll have a credit at ABC for everything you need.
