But what about JJ? At this point, you have nothing to lose, and nothing to gain by not giving him playing time.

My reaction is the same as seeing Hester get all the carries last year. Seeing Flynn throw a 30 yard duck of a hail mary pass against arkansas. Seeing Peterson and Eugene swap out every 2 series. Seeing Mccray line up at the nickel. Seeing the wild murphy formation on 2 and 4 when scott is plugging away. Seeing Lsu run an option on 3rd and 1 when scott is plugging away. Seeing Lee throwing passes over the middle on 3rd and long. Seeing tolliver not getting used to maximize his speed and size against other teams 3rd qbs. Seeing Byrd or dickson running wide open while Lee zeroes on in lafell who is being covered by the entire secondary,,,,ETC ETC

unfortunatly i don't think this can happen. I think it needs to but won't. Rather than help our young QB, it appears the receivers have quit on him. The routes are sloppy, they aren't giving the extra effort. I think Miles runs the risk of losing the whole team if he does not play JJ. That is sad, they would rather quit on him and try to move on that work him through tough times. I am getting slightly more than i expected out of the QB play this year, but i am getting extremely less than i expected from my JR and SR loaded recieving core.

Well, he almost killed byrd yesterday. The receivers cannot tell where he will put the ball his accuracy is not as advertised. He leads the safeties directly to the receivers for knockout hits as he stares them down. I don't think they have quit on him, but I think they are frustrated with his play, especially if they are trying to help him out with coverages as lafell says and he keeps making the same mistakes. You gotta figure most of those guys committed to lsu when JR was slinging darts on the field. Now you have lee.

?? for the most part i guess yes...but I had serious problems with the play calling on the last drive in regulation and in overtime. Why oh why are we not running the ball three times when we are backued up against our own goal line and needing just to run the clock out. Why put the ball in the hands of a player who has proven time and time again that he can't get it done, and by doing that take the ball OUT of the hands of one of the best RB's in the nation?

And then we do the same in over time. If you have a quaterback who won't scramble and won't throw it away, why would you put the ball in his hands. Run it, and kick the frickin field goal. No need to get cute or risky in overtime.

ultimate for me

I would hope people would just realize that obviously JJ is ready to play and would only embarrass himself on the field with no playbook comprehension.

I don't mind at all if he plays most of the game, but JJ has to get AT LEAT a quarter and a half of live action. That way, we can see what he has and we don't have the excuse of having a QB who hasn't played in a game.

If JJ flops in his time, then I think the heat will be off to yank J.Lee so fast. The issue most people have is they haven't even given JJ a chance. Regardless of how much of the playbook he does/doesn't know, he couldn't have possibly been any worse on Saturday.

My reaction will be that at least they are trying to find out who the future QB of this team is. Maybe it is Lee, maybe it is Jefferson but lets find out this year instead of next year.

That just can't be happening. Although, RP never got anymore than mop duty before 07.

We've got to let him play. We're going to run the ball to win this game regardless. Let him handoff and run the option but let him do it in the first half or 3rd qtr, not when time's running out.

I'll be happy. He needs the work. The second string QB is always the fan favorite. Even when JaMarcus was here....everyone was screaming to put in Flynn because of his performance vs Miami. Last year everyone was bitching about putting RP in over Flynn.
