I definitely fall into the obese category 5'8 215 now...was around 235. I changed my portions up, limited soft drinks to basically a few bourbons a week, and started working out again. I lost 10 pounds in a hurry.
Now I'm intermittent fasting and it's worked well for me. Super easy and it keeps me from being a fatass in breakfast or lunch. I do eat a nice breakfast on Saturdays with the family. Overall I'm 15 pounds down and working my way toward 190.

Keep it up. The highest I got was 190 and hover around 150-155 now and have been at that for years.
It sucks but basically I drink just water or black coffee. Anything else is a waste of calories.
I drink beer in the weekends, but if you are really trying to lose weight, I’d stop alcohol until you hit your goal weight. I gave it up for 10 months to lose the weight.
