We wouldn’t have had a different season even if he were still here, then we would have gotten nothing for him and he’d still be asking for more than he’s worth next season. Happy he gets to go to a Super Bowl, even if they’ll probably get slaughtered by whoever they play.

Hard to say that when we were a basically a tampa win away from taking the division.
You can probably pick a handful of plays that basically ended our season.
Im sorry, that trade felt like it killed our season even before it started.

Wrong. The defense cost us plenty of games during the year. One of the biggest reasons was the rash of injuries to the secondary. We went from having one of the better slot corners to one of the worst. A few games teams just threw it to whatever receiver was in the slot being guarded by Harris or Evans to move the chains and keep drives going.
When you lose the division by a game, it made a big impact. And if he signs for a big money deal we probably get a 4th round comp pick.

That’s not how comp picks work. And with the team needing to sign 10-15 players to just fill a 53 man roster; as soon as they hit FA they most likely lose that comp pick anyway

Not likely going on history with the Saints and the needs we will have. Those comp picks are based on the net FAs in and out.

I'd not go that far as to claim that he was the last of their Infinity Stones, but I'll be damned if the Eagles didn't bend the Saints over and use sandpaper as the condom in that deal and the draft trade up.
