I don't think people really have an appreciation for how far ahead Tesla is in the EV market and perhaps more importantly in the self driving capability market which will be big in the future

Maybe so, but their cars all look like design rejects from the 1990's. I dislike many things about them. I hate the big screen, I dislike not having info I want to see in front of my steering wheel, I dislike the interiors, I dislike the regenerative braking and I dislike 30-50 minute waits at charging stations.

if you want a sporty Ev today they're you're best option. however tomorrow i'm not convinced their line of cars is all that awesome.

mercedes is in the lead here. they've got L3 autonomy approval already..... Tesla keeps saying they're in the lead but they selected the wrong tech for years, have finally switched to lidar like everyone else...
