Sentimental investment gifts for kids

I started buying 1 oz gold liberty dollars for each of their birthdays to hand them over either when I pass or when they get older. I'm probably going to start buying a gun each year for us to use then pass on to him. I'm struggling with something I could get my daughter each year that would be equivalent.
Do any of y'all do this? What are some ideas on things to leave my kids?

Make sure it holds its value and easily converted to cash. Things like expensive furniture, fine china, estate jewelry, and curio cabinets are not recommended.
My dad was a big fan of The Franklin Mint. Hindsight says it was a pre-internet version of QVC. Items had little staying power.

For each GI Joe and Hot Wheels car that I got as a kid, I wish that my parents had set one aside in a fireproof box. I’d be shopping for a Ferrari 488 right now. , but probably true.
The things I have that mean the most to me, that were passed on to me from my dad and uncle, are the guns that meant the most to them. They make me remember good times that we spent together. So I’d say anything that really reflects your personality and being… things that will make them remember those good times when you’re not around anymore.

Find a good scotch whiskey and buy a bottle from each year. Wait 21 years and profit.
Or drink it.
ETA: Missed the part about daughter. My answer stands.
