Good luck proving any of those hypotheticals. If anyone should be charged for her death it’s the rapists for leaving her in the middle of a highway with a .3 BAC

Try the fact that the city parish has not kept up with burnt out lights on Burbank (shocking). It is dark as shite out there.

The road in that stretch is pit h dark with no street lights.

No idea how they have never had street lights there.

I was on the road last year tending to someone that got in a wreck and there were two wrecks after the initial wreck because you couldn't see anything

There’s a makeshift marker where she was struck on Burbank. Literally nothing in the area. Just woods.
Theres no way you have consensual sex with someone and just drop them off basically in the woods. This is a sad situation.

I find it hard to believe sober she gives these clowns any attention. I’m guessing there will eventually be more to the story.

What’s speed limit of that stretch? Should be so that he had enough time to see pedestrian w headlights and stop or swerve.

I think it’s 50 or 55 and people go 65/70 easy. But it’s super dark on Burbank. Even by rouses it isn’t that lit up.

45. Common for most people to do 60 without a second thought.

We were on our way to NYE at Lauberge in ‘21-‘22 and a damn deer ran out in front of the car beside us in that stretch. Blood flew all over the windshield and scared the shite out of us

Message from Tate

Dear LSU Community,

This afternoon, police arrested four individuals following an investigation into the events preceding the death of LSU student Madison Brooks, who was struck by a vehicle on Burbank Drive last week.

Madison was a daughter, a granddaughter, a sister, a niece, a classmate, and a friend to many of you. By all accounts, she was an amazing young woman with limitless potential. She should not have been taken from us in this way. What happened to her was evil, and our legal system will parcel out justice.

Our collective grief and outrage cannot be put into mere words. So what can we do? It is time for action. One place to target our attention is the very place where this encounter began.

All but one of the suspects involved in this horrific scenario were underage yet were able to consume alcohol at a local bar. As such, our action plan starts with a deep and relentless focus on any establishment that profits off our students by providing alcohol to underage individuals. In the coming days, we will call a meeting with these business owners to discuss how their responsibilities directly impact the safety of our students. We will work openly against any business that doesn’t join us in efforts toward creating a safer environment for our students. Enough is enough.

Real and long-lasting solutions require multiple strategies, so we will not stop there. That is why I am asking our entire Baton Rouge community, from business leaders to citizens, to work together and join us in this effort. We will share additional action items in the coming days, but for now please join me in keeping Madison’s family in our thoughts and prayers.

Hey Tate can you also call a meeting with Broome, Paul and Moore to discuss all crime against LSU students?

Can you openly work against them if they don’t address your demands? Can you chat with the NAACP to see if they wanna get involved?

Lets assume he was speeding...like many of us would be doing on that particular stretch at 3am. He is not the reason she is dead.

She is dead bc of the thugs who disregarded her life, the bar, and PROBABLY her "friend" group.
