I'm always late to these threads.
I gotta always go with the sexiest plane ever built. Curves for days and tough enough to put the blunt end forward. She's the longest production aircraft still being built. 1954-2023, because there's nothing close. Been blessed to fly around 28 different variants of her. The mighty Lockheed C-130 Hercules and Super Hercules.
My lotto purchase and the best sounding engine every built- P-51. My grandfather was a crew chief on P-51s and P-40s. He died in 1972 and my father tells the story of cleaning out the barn and finding unopened shop manuals, still in the burlap wrap and twine of P-40s and P-51s. You could probably name your price for those now.
Got to toss a little love to the Army or my Dad would be mad. The Huey was the sound of my childhood. Dad was a Vietnam era pilot and I was born at Mother Rucker when he was an IP, 9 months from the day he returned from 'Nam.
However, if I went Army, I'd want the OV-10. It always looked like fun to me.
Civilian-wise, Beech makes some sex back in the day-
Still like flying the BE200 when I can.
Commercial- I've always thought the 757 was like a woman with long legs and big boobs.
But the 747 is tough to beat for looks.
