I’m partial to The Grint. I had 18 birdies before but switched to Grint back in 2018, so I’m not sure all the new features of 18 Birdies since then.

Grint does everything you’ve mentioned. Can also track your strokes gained off the tee, approach, putting, etc. I don't use the GPS because I have GPS on the cart, and it’s the only way to track SG because you have to input where your hitting your second from and what club you’re using.

It’s got a ton of stats, probably more than I even know about. Also really enjoy getting live alerts of how my friends are doing. They also just came out with “trash talk” alerts and now my friends are alerted every time I make an 8 with a alert that says “absolute just made a snowman on the par 5 3rd hole at university club.”

My favorite feature is it links with GHIN so it automatically uploads my scores after every round and HC stays live (for better or worse).

There has been a change recently, and I'm not sure if it will do this anymore. I honestly wasn't able to fully understand what was going on with GHIN and The Grint, but they sent an email that they no longer can track handicaps by paying for it through the Grint. I followed their link to pay directly through GHIN's website.

So, now that I type that all out, maybe they will link with GHIN but just can't collect money to pay for it directly.

Lastly, I love the Grint as well. I love getting the notification that a friend is playing during a workday. I know our group chat will be firing off as soon as he has a bad hole.

I also use Grint and would recommend it. Not sure where you can see strokes gained information (i have the pro version so it may be on the pro+ version) but it does everything else. As far as the ghin issue, I spoke with grint customer service and long story short, the USGA is cracking down on all third parties selling their handicap system. Its not exclusive to Grint or even apps. So basically you now have to directly pay USGA for a ghin then just make sure its linked to your grint account and you are good to go again.
