Yea, I don’t understand why Americans still go down there for vacation. I was talking to a family member who recently went down with his wife and grandkids. I’m like wtf were y’all thinking?!

It's a big country and there's some pockets of nice areas.

I don’t feel unsafe at nice resorts in Riviera Maya. But I go directly from the airport to the resort and don’t leave (and there is no need to).
