Obviously the Saints don't have much money to spend this offseason but they've got a few big name guys hitting free agency. Davenport and Onyemama will be too expensive to keep. Hopefully we can bring Kaden Ellis back. He played extremely well down the stretch and won't break the bank to bring back.

I think Underhill said that Davenport would most likely be back

Rather not pay $10M+/year to another injury-prone player. Let Davenport walk and be more conservative with the cap space. Saints will be rebuilding the next few years and adding more bad contracts won't help.

I can see them keeping Davenport b/c they’d want him to take over for Cam in the next year. Next year will likely be his last with us.

While I generally agree, front office may think getting him for around $10-12M would basically be a push since there would be a $7.6M cap hit if he walks and they still need to fill the position.

Unless cap numbers come out very favorable, I think they just need to let him walk and go become another Ninkovich somewhere else because he can't stay healthy here.

We basically have no DTs. I get we can’t bring all FAs back but Onymata should be top priority

Don't see paying a high salary to a DE who doesn't get sacks. Just over 4 a year in 5 years

Nink was young and a cut not for money but for room on the roster. Played just one year for us then a camp cut I think and off to miami who also released him later. Then he shined at NE. He was a tweener who wanted to play a 3-4 fwiw to the revistionist around here

I think Zach Baun is more likely to have a career arc like Ninkovich. Baun seemed pretty clear to be a 3-4 OLB pass rusher but we do not run a 3-4 and I don't recall ever seeing him line up as an end for pass rush

None here would blame Zach for heading out. His time here has been a head scratcher.
