Has a chance to hit it yesterday with the Ping Tour 60 gram shaft.

Looks - when I saw the first pics of the 430, I was worried about the Yellow Accents, thankfully they are minimal and muted.

The lines on the face is a nice touch and helps with alignment.

Distance- Really a carbon copy of the 425, not a bad thing. I believe that chasing distance wasn't the real mission of this new club.

Sound- This is where Ping put their emphasis and tech. No longer the loud " Dink" sound.. Excellent results for Ping.

Forgiveness- This is where Ping shines, this driver just wants to go straight.

Conclusion- Ping really needs to dump the Turbolators on the crown.

It's a good driver, has good length and forgiveness, but it won't kick My Cobra LTX LS driver out of the bag.

Turbulators aren’t great. Love that the g425 fairway stuff doesn’t have them

Heard it’s actually lost distance from guys who have been gaming it for a bit now. Not sure where the gain is over 425.

Can't divulge, Ping spies are everywhere and they take these things seriously.

Will be at retail soon.

I hit the 430 irons this week. Fantastic, launch is really high, bad strikes even come of good. The head is really light in a good way, optics of head shape are better than the 425s. Sound at impact is really really good.

My complaint is when you don't hit it right you get good feedback, but it still sounds the same on impact.

Other than that great irons.

There are multiple reviews on your tube with all the heads showing improvements on each head across the board. They definitely didn't lose length

I hit the 430 iron with a black AWT shaft.

Definitely better club that the 425 iron.

And the deep cavity is not visible at address.

I don't believe that there is any loss of distance that I could tell.

I hit a few drives into the wind and they did well.

I played Ping for years, I have a lot of respect for their products and company.

The 430 will be a successful driver .

I just bought a 425 with the Ventus velicore blue. Kinda wish I would have waited for the 430

Thinking about getting a set of 430 irons...... 7 year old Apexs on the bag now

The length comment wasn't meant for you, was for ell.

Also they have some fitting places that have them already. Ping is Taking preorders for them at the moment.

Did you hit it at Impact Precision? They fitted me for the LST and it was awesome. Love the smaller head on it. Everything I hit was a perfect fade down the left side of the fw.

Problem is I couldn’t afford it with the shaft set up. The head plus a GD Tour AD UB 6 TX shaft would have been a $950 driver.

Not sure why it’s too secret. Demos are literally in at club champion right now for fittings lol. The release is in a couple weeks.

I took it out of the shop to the driving range.

As a rule, Ping gives the retailer a firm date to sell their clubs.

They have a right to terminate a stores account if they violate it.

Basically, with friends in the business, I respect their position and their wishes.

I was told a member at our club ordered a head from Japan. I have not seen it, but that was quite a while ago.

to me, the G425 is the best one of the last 3 generations and I doubt you'll see a huge improvement with the G430.

I've gamed the 400LST, 410LST, and now the 425LST and the 425 is basically combining the pros of the 400 and 410 with improved MOI for added forgiveness. Dont see the 430 being that big of an improvement outside of better sound which is extremely subjective. Feel may change a little too due to the carbon makeup of the head. Hopefully they left the loft adapter the same so I can go compare the 425 to the 430, but I aint expectin' enough difference to warrant a change anytime soon.
