Beat me to it.

That's got to finish us off on the defensive line, you'd have to think.

On to linebackers and another offensive lineman.

That's another big signing if true. He's pretty damn good.

We now have 17 defensive linemen.

I don't remember when we've ever carried that many.

Hell, we've got 4-5 walkons on the defensive line too.

Those are crazy numbers.

Not for what LSU will probably run. Pretty obvious heavy 4-2-5 with all the DBs/lineman. LBs become less important. Bad thing about this is moving forward going to be hard for LSU to sell a big time LB to play in their system since they shine less. We will have attrition there in spring for sure. I would think guys like Langston are not going to make it into fall.

I saw some USCe fans felt like Edmond was just as big of a loss as Branch.

Sorta fills that role alongside weakside DE. This was his first year starting and he was pretty good as a sophomore in SEC.

I like this pickup alongside Shand and Jefferson. I think all 3 are going to be heavy contributors on the DL. Hope some of the younger guys like Wiggins and Womack show up next year line could be absolutely nasty in their 2 deep.

You can't help but think that the coaches, because of lack of backers, are deciding to go DL and DB heavy....in Kelly we trust, I have no doubt he'll put us in the best position to win

edge defender Gilber Edmond, who started the last nine games. Edmond was highly productive in Strachan's absence, as he racked up 24 tackles, including nine for a loss in rush defense, which subsequently led the team. This increased role was a big reason South Carolina fans were shocked to see the third-year player enter the portal

I think we have a LB currently who was very shiny this year and should shine brighter than Alvin Kamara’s grille over the next 2 years.

The staff must see something they like. His stats weren’t great this past year but he has good size may need to be coached up. No doubt we need 2 LB’s and another OL.

He mostly rushed the passer though. He wasn't a traditional LB. Still needs to learn how to play the position. Mostly relies on his incredible instincts and athleticism.

Seems like a good pickup, the staff has addressed DL. Obviously inside lb is a priority.
