Right. I have zero idea what the answer is but I think it’s a bit strange that it’s never talked about. Consume any media from that era (or better yet, ask your older family members about it)and the difference is so stark.

My dad had 3 kids and never changed a diaper in his life. Never cooked either other than on the grill. But I'd also say that 80-90% of the people I grew up around were single income families and the mom didn't work.

That's mostly the exception than the rule now

Soy jokes are real. They plowed that shite into kids. Schools went real soft. In 40 years went from playground fights being normal to todays woke insanity. Parents ruined youth sports with mass organization, now kids don’t even self organize and learn how to self govern through this basic medium. Stranger danger was a big hit, got people to stop letting their kids roam in the village. Nobody wants your frickin kids, people.
