Woke up to it storming and opted for coffee and a big breakfast instead of getting soaked. In all fairness, having an icechest nearly filled by the big doe from Friday affected my motivation.

The best thing about hunting in the rain is no one else is hunting in the rain.

Correct. My dogs track much better during or right after it rains. The exception is a sustained downpour. Dry and hot is when scenting conditions are bad.

A friend killed his biggest buck after a tremendous rain was letting up. All of the hunting sites in the club were flooded. He walked knee deep to a stand, sat and waited, and there it was. Everyone else had stayed in.

Some nice frog tog bibs and jacket that I caught on sale. It's not the normal flimsy garbage bag stuff. Got the whole set for like $180 and I think it was $400 regular

Right after it rains is when I think it’s the worst, especially in Louisiana when it’s a touch of humidity.
