Also this team isnt nearly as bad as most people play them out to be. They were within 5 points in 4 losses.

also i would be in favor of firing wiener

Could be a changing of the guard in HS football in BR.

Sid Edwards is changing things around at Central.

it pains me to say this because i played for him at one time .. but it is time for a change at catholic .. coach's style is only going to take the bears only so far ... he's been blessed with some sick talent now for almost 20 years .. but has been way too loyal to certain assistant coaches (cough cough .. the defensive side of the ball .. cough cough the defensive coordinator)that i thought was holding us back in the early 90s ..

The defensive coordinator is one of the best in the state of louisiana. Two quick examples, he limited Central, who averages scoring about 40 to 17, and Dutchtown who averages about the same to 14. Do some research before you come on here and make statements in which you obviously have no clue about.

who is the DC over there right now ?? and i'm not talking about this season exclusively you fricking idiot ..

eta: what about not having a fricking kicker a few seasons ago and it costing you a chance to beat acadiana in the semi finals .. all the fricking soccer players you have running around catholic and you don't have one of them that can kick a fricking 30 yard field goal ?? that's fricking inexcusable ..

Garidel is a great defensive coordinator. He is in no way responsible for the problems going on at Catholic.

garidel's a decent DC .. wouldn't call him a great one ... did you play for him at catholic ? just wondering .. he's had questionable game prep issues in the past and i have seen him completely out of sorts at times .. no, the D hasn't been the problem this year, obviously, but there have been past seasons where the D has been the problem ... it's just time for a house cleaning .. coach weiner has been there 20 years and garidel's been there almost 30 years now .. the baseball program made changes .. it is time for football to do it now ..

Solid kicking game would be nice especially in high school football.

There is no changing of the guard, don't get too excited Central fans. Sid Edwards is good, but it's not like Catholic High is dropping off. It's not like college where it affects recruiting, the talent is always going to be there for Catholic because of geographic reasons. Anyway, Catholic is going to be pretty damn good next year, since so many juniors got playing time. Plus the JV team beat Central's JV by 3 TD's the other day.

As for Garidel, Weiner's son Neil who is the OC at Central, said that he's definitely the best defensive coordnator in the area, and one of the Top 5 in the state.

I actually played baseball for him, but not football. I had alot of friends that did play for him on the football field though and they all respected him and always talked about how he may not know his baseball, but the man knows his football.

New coach was handed a State Championship team and fell short with it. Catholic winning state championships go together like oil and water. Also, I think Weiner is more of the problem than Garidel. I know I will get hammered b/c my screen name is EA.
