I believe LSU was sending a message to FSU for next year’s game.

To begin with, there were lots of trick plays FSU will have to deal with in preparation of next year’s game. In addition, may have to prepare to deal with a dual qb situation. I think we played our games, but you have to believe this coaching staff had FSU in mind in some capacity when drawing up the game plan.

I expect we will be nasty on defense next year. I expect FSU to be better also, but we got beat in the trenches on both sides, at LB, and definitely at WR. We will need to defend their qb a lot better than we did to start the season. It won’t surprise me if FSU tries to add a war up game before LSU.

I don’t think that was a message to just FSU I think that was a message to all of College Football!! With the guys we have and the guys that are coming in. Incoming Dangerous team! I mean we didn’t even have a full team this year and made it all the way #5 and we beat Bama! That says something!

Uh, no. Just no. They don't live in LSU's head rent free. That's some pussified shite there. He was making a statement after losing all momentum at the end of the season. They were on the cusp of a possible playoff spot and shite the bed. This was them coming out setting the ship straight.

I kinda doubt it, i moreso saw it as a reward for the players sticking to the alignment this year. There was SO much in Flux this off-season you GOTTA think we will be so much better prepared for Fla St next year

I agree. Players like Ward, Baskerville and others that didn't opt out deserved a fully committed team and staff to finish strong. Kelly also wanted to make a statement after losing the last 2. Lastly, we are still looking to add portal players, maybe a HS recruit or two and keep some players on the roster from leaving in the spring.

All part of tAlignment.

Insofar as FSU will not be able to predict and focus on what type of defense we will be in for base, and what to do with their defense versus our offense, you have a point. But the opponent is what the team and staff focused on yesterday. And a darn good job was done.

Is that why we had multiple kickers attempt XPs?

Brian Kelly was seeing his team firing on all cylinders and it allowed him to reinforce his "alignment". There was no way he was going to pull them back.

It's not a purposeful message to the rest of college football, but it sure as hell is a double take to everyone who sees the score.

This game had nothing to do with FSU. The only message with this gameplan was to our own players- going forward when healthy and prepared, we can beat anyone and dominate anyone beneath us. All you have to do is focus and execute.

The entire team, starters to walk-ons, responded by doing exactly that for 4 quarters.

The dregs in this fricking fanbase can’t help but shite on a coach who won the West and had 10 wins in year one with a team projected to get somewhere between 6-8 by most analysts. And after a dominant bowl game win, no less.

You stupid frickers are having to dig deep to find things to complain about now, I guess.

Ask the A&M fans. They keep bringing up the win every chance they get.

The best message to send to FSU is to show up prepared for that game and actually win it.
