Who have the old school mentality and won’t quit and opt out like the rest. He was rewarded heavily yesterday with extra great film and memories.
Thank you for not opting out like the rest and wanted to be a tiger.

It’s a double edged sword
It’ll help some draft stocks. Others may get injured

DB is a lot easier to play and not worry about injury than dline
Plus I think LSU was better without Gaye on the field
I think Savion Jones is a better player

It was nice to see a couple DE not named Ojulari get themselves on the stat sheet. As big as a body Gaye is, he seemed to never show up on the stats. BJ has been a one man show on the edge the last couple years until Perkins showed up.

Nick Tiger did you see MNF ? In saying that , No matter what reason you have …You are Quitting on Your Team ! Backups looked good though.

Good for him but I do not believe he's a better person than anyone that opted out. I support our players either way. Frankly if I had a child that was going to be drafted, I would strongly encourage him to opt out of the exhibition bowl games.

I agree. Add Jay Ward to that list as well.

Fitting tribute that he got the final game ball for being a role model player and doing everything that was asked. Got to live out his dream of wearing the P&G and playing in Tiger Stadium, albeit for only 1 year. JBC was 100% committed to the program and being a great LSU Tiger. Thank You for your dedication and service. Wish more players had this young man's attitude.

Do you not realize that many are hurt in workouts?

I'll never be on the side of "make them play" after seeing what happened to Jaylon Smith at ND and Jake Butt at Michigan. Smith was a lock as a top 10 pick and the injury in the bowl game made him fall into the 2nd round. Jake Butt won the Best TE Award and was predicted to be a 2nd Rounder and his injury turned him into a 5th rounder and he never really stuck with a NFL team. Yes it looks like people are skipping out and being soft, but more often than not they are trying to not ruin their shot at receiving the generational wealth that they worked so hard to earn.

Loser mentality. Go watch the NFL. I enjoy college football.

Then why not just stop playing after the 6th or 7th week to make sure you don't get hurt in the last 5-6 games? Better yet, if you have a good Sophomore year, just sit out the entire Junior year.

This. Most of these guys posting this crap would rather watch the NFL than college football.

I'm not going to fault any of those kids for opting out. Bowl games should be treated as pre spring game. It should be used to get playing time for kids who are competing for a starting position the following year or for kids that have 3rd round or lower grades. It's a great game to give kids some playing time and experience in a real game situation.

Then sit out after high school and go to the combine 4 years later.
Opting out is BS. Football is a violent sport.
