Main bed is 16’x24’. 8 rows at 16’ each. The 3 raised beds right behind it are 4’x10’. The strawberry box is 4’x16’. The blackberry and blueberry boxes are 3’x12’ each.

I had an appointment with my gastroenterologist in Baton Rouge last Wednesday. We started talking about vegetable gardens.

I'd never heard of Tromboncino squash, but he plants them, uses them as a substitute for summer sqush, and likes them a lot.

An online search, consistent with what he told me, reveals they are an Italian heirloom vining type squash less susceptible to squash vine borers than summer squash, and can be harvested when young like summer squash.

If anyone has experience planting Tromboncino squash, please share your thoughts.

For anyone like me, someone who has never planted Tromboncino squash, here's a link about them (with pics) that you might find interesting. LINK /
