Is it really that difficult to go a month without drinking?? It would be harder for me to lay off the coffee

I took January and March-April off from drinking altogether in 2022, so no it’s not that hard to do. It’s just also really easy for me to get back into the habit of having a couple beers every day too :)

I'm actually doing this as well. Started the day after Christmas though. Trying to find some NA wines and mocktail recipes to enjoy if we have people over or when I get home from work and want to sit and chill with a cocktail. Hoping I can turn it into a lifestyle change.

Not that I drank that much before, maybe a couple of glasses of wine a few times a week, or a couple of cocktails out, but I have noticed in the last year how terrible I feel and how bad I sleep when I do imbibe. Heartburn during the night, etc. This week I have felt great!

Key is to get through tonight with friends over and sticking to the non-alcoholic champagne and mixers I have on hand. Figure if I can do that, I can get through anything. Wish me luck!
