The net is roughly $50 per ton of cane on the farmers side. You are figuring tons of pure sugar

With a name like Sucrose I’m sure you know all about sugar cane. I know absolutely nothing about it. What would sugar cane straight out of the field bring? Edit: never mind I see where you said $50/ton.
After reading a little more it seems a ton of raw sugar cane yields about 220lbs of sugar. So if they are indeed harvesting 60 tons that would be roughly $5670 per acre assuming the $859/ton August price.
