What's your biggest surprise of the season so far?

Mine is that Naji is from Atlantic City, NJ.
Could have sworn he was a deep south country boy.

Agreed. Naji's improvements and Dyson's defense even more elite than I anticipated.

Naji and Dyson both better than expected. Herb slightly disappointing but I think it's been due to injuries.

Herb seemingly regressed all round is a surprise

I know this will get down voted to shite but I’m genuinely surprised we haven’t won more games.
I’m so big on this team’s ability and expectations are through the roof (my own fault probably)… but we’re first and playing superb. Shouldn’t moan!
That aside, Naji has been outstanding in his role… so that’s a nice surprise.

How well the bench has played. I knew we were a deep team, but the fact 10 different guys have scored 20 on a given night is pretty eye popping. The depth is stronger than I could have expected.

Oh yeah and Toni Davis being out for extended periods is a genuine head scratcher

BI hasn't played half the season and NO is still currently the #1 seed

The strength of Zion's handle is also a pretty big surprise
Mans is crossing over hoes at the top of the key like he's Iverson or Hardaway Snr

The biggest surprise is that BI has missed this many games.
If we are talking about pleasant surprises, I think that the biggest ones are on the offensive end with our role players:
- Jose's floater and improved touch around the basket
- Trey's increasing ability to punish closeouts by driving to the rim
- Dyson shooting 41% from 3
- Naji Jordan in the paint
It's hard to pick one of those surprises, but they have collectively made a huge difference.

Naji reigning in full MJ and going Naji Magic with his passing has been a great little surprise

No down vote, I agree. Around 4 games we should have won easily. The Laker game still messes with me. Dawn miracle shot from a guy that isn't even on the Lakers roster anymore lol

The worst part about our regular season will probably be gifting Lakers that win
frick. dem. hoes.

we're currently in the running for both the #1 seed in the West and have a chance at Wemby

Oh, and one more nice surprise is that Zion has legit turned into a plus defender.
I was expecting him to be decent this season, and early in the year, he was slow to react and sometimes confused on his rotations, but he's finally become the defender we hoped he would be when we drafted him.

Dyson is the biggest surprise. His offense is already ahead of schedule, his defense is unbelievable, but to me the craziest thing about Dyson is he can already hold his own against bigs as a guard/wing at age 19. He still has the potential to get taller, longer and will definitely get stronger.
We keep saying Dyson is like what we thought Lonzo should have been. If he grows some more he might become what Ben Simmons should have been. Draft a guard/wing in the top 10 to replace CJ as he ages out and you have your championship core
Dyson
Brandon Miller
BI
Zion
Trey

Dyson isn't surprising me FWIW. I expected him to be producing like he is, being in an NBA program and all.
And one that is no longer a shite show
Shooting a bit better than expected from three, but on pretty low volume.
You could see his shot form was always good to pretty good in the G League, just needed some tweakage. He was always gonna be an excellent defender, Aussies generally are

…and dyson… shouldn’t forget that dude.
Pleasant surprise, amazing on D… and composed with the ball and scoring…at 19.
He’s gonna be a big player for us.

Yup, he makes Herb expendable. Love Herb but he's just too bad a shooter to commit 15 mil to
We need to keep Dyson and Trey
