Putting a lot of faith in a freshman quarterback in a must win game...The old LSU "backup quarterback is better" syndrome....Ole Nick will eat his lunch...Lee gives us our best chance. Pray he does not go down

I think Jefferson could be our secret to winning this game. He will give Bama a new look and something they have not really prepared for. There is little tape on him and although I am sure he doesn't know the offense that well yet, he will add something different.

One thing that is not a secret. When JJ comes into the game, bama is going to confuse him with their multiple sets. I don't think it is going to be pretty at all. Not being a negatiger. I want to win and think we can win, I just don't think we can with an inexperienced qb with less than 30 live-snaps under his belt.

still think it's misleading, nowhere in the article does it say he will possible take 50% of snaps, all it says is he took 50% practice reps

If he takes more than 1% of plays, then we'll be in trouble. Lee gives us the best chance to win.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Lee will be great, just sit back and ride the freshman rollercoaster.

If any of you at all think Jefferson is going to go out there against Alabama and have a good game, then you are a dumbass. If he goes in the game, it's going to be a disaster. One player, especially an inexperienced one doesn't make a difference as far as team effort goes.

I wouldn't mind seeing 3 or 4 qb runs with him in or maybe one HIGHLY scripted, no decisions required trick play called at the righ time to change things up, but that's it. This kid won't beat Bama's defense as a true freshman and to ask him to if Lee is healthy would be absolutely moronic.

I wouldn't directly compare JJ to Tebow, but Tebow did prove that the right freshman can be effective in pressure situation if he has a very specific package that he is well versed in and is implemented properly. We just don't know if JJ is that type guy. If he can't handle it yey, I hope we don't see him. Just don't discount him having ANY use on the field solely because he is a freshman.

IF JJ sees the field, he will be running. Les may let him throw 1 pass to keep the defense honest, but this is not the team to baptize JJ with. Enough already.
Thanks coach Miles.

You don't want to see a Jefferson/Williams option. You don't.

If I were a Bama fan, I would be saying the exact same thing.

I would run Jefferson in in the second quarter, fake the option and hit Byrd deep...

Really? Some of you want a true freshman to play big minutes in the biggest game of the year at the most important position, against #1. A freshman who has taken maybe 10 snaps. Are you serious? Wow. That's all I can say.

Exactly. I hope Alabama starts Star Jackson (I think that is their true freshman qb recruit from last year) Please, Saban, start Jackson. This board is ridiculous sometimes.

The more he's in the game the less likely Lee directly gives the other team points.

This year alone he's directly given the other team over 35 points I believe.
