My grandparents, great grandparents, great-great grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, and my infant daughter are all buried in a grave at a cemetery in old-Algiers.(grave has been in the family since 1865)

There is very little maintenance involved because of how the grave is set up and the cemetery in general. I do know that around All Saints Day some of my cousins clean the grave. The future looks like ashes will be added as my mother's generation on have all elected to be creamated.

My Dads brother use to take care of all the ones on my Dads side, when he died, his Grandson took over. As a young kid, the grandson use to play in that graveyard. He can tell you where every relative is in there.

On my Moms side, they came out and put a coating similar to Rino-Shield. Easy clean, once a year.

I have one with Great Great Grandparents, it has some damage on one side. Looks like I’ll be handling the repairs.

One of my friends from this board passed away, they had him cremated, he was placed in a LSU Football Helmet Urn. Very well done, Big Tiger Fan, very deserving. RIP.
