Didn’t burn to the ground, the structural damage was approximately 60% of the total home value, contents were close to a total loss.
State Farm stepped up mightily, we used a warranted contractor recommended by them, were paid dislocation money immediately, and had as great of an experience as possible following a casualty loss.
Obviously I don’t know the specifics of these folks’ loss but compared to Hurricane claims, fire claims are generally handled very fairly (per the policy conditions & limits) by insurance companies.
