The show is excellent, but it does seem to resolve some complicated plot lines very quickly.
Was expecting 20 episodes to get rid of Chickie, and not that 2-minute scene by the hotel swimming pool.
So who knows, maybe somebody remotely wipes the flash drive and Dwight goes free in the first two minutes of season 2.

I believe this is all staged. Agreed to arrest him in public as he is now an informant to take the mob down.
