I think there's fans of each QB on the roster. We are blessed with 3 SEC level QBs. I think Daniels realizes he needs to throw down field to be successful. Nuss is Nuss and does get the ball deep easily and some say Howard is the best QB on the roster. But starting at QB at LSU is not for a weak minded player because we are hard on them.

Agreed. Burrow spoiled almost every LSU fan so now the barometer is sort of "set." Albeit unfairly, it's what any QB following him will be held to. Just today I saw posters saying Nuss is like Burrow because he throws deep downfield. I'll grant you (not you specifically) but I'll grant that Nuss has a better arm for the deep ball. The issue that arises is he presses and throws into double or even triple coverage and hopes for the best. And I'm not trying to tear this kid down. I know his family, in a roundabout sort of way. Won't get into specifics but I'm pulling for him to also be successful but right now, Daniels is better. He just is. Is he the best ever? Of course not and he'd even admit that. It's ok to pull for both to be successful. I don't understand why it has to be either this player or that player and if it's not this player, then the pouty pouts show up and whine incessantly. It's really bizarre.

That's unfair to any QB post Burrow because Burrow was a generational talent. Who knows when the next one will show up but to put unrealistic expectations on any QB after him is unfair.

Being hard on QBs and expecting results is one thing and that's to be expected, to a point. But what results are they exactly? Win games? Pass for X amount of yards in a game? What metric is the defining factor(s)?

I'm happy with a QB that protects the ball, wins games, has a good relation with his teammates, the coaches, most of the fans. If he throws downfield bombs and wins games, awesome. If he throws mostly dinks and dunks, but still wins games because of his mobility, that's ok too. The object is to win the game.
