I just find it disingenuous to argue that someone who committed some of the crimes these 17 in particular have done deserves to live, and then arguing in the next breath that the 275,982 voluntary abortions carried out in Oregon since the last execution is ok.

Me too.

You can be against the government telling women they have to have babies, AND against abortion at the same time. Just because I don't want the government to force the woman to have the baby doesn't mean I want her to abort it.

Obviously.

It's probably all the wrong assumptions you allow yourself to make.

I mean... Didn't are discussion start with you assuming my stance?! I am a huge proponent of limited government. My qualm with this decision is that this commuting of the sentences was well received by the same circle that protested and threatened lives just a few months ago when Roe v Wade was ruled unconstitutional. So apologies if I took your stance for abortion to being morally ok with it. I honestly find it to be the most morally ambiguous topic currently being discussed. I do not think the government should force a woman to carry a child. At the same time I do believe that life begins at the embryonic stage (as do +99% of scientists).

Also apologies that quoting me apparently had posters thinking you advocated for killing babies.
