Parents bitching about not having a direct line to their kids
I guess I am getting old and only know about school from when I was in school, but why do parents really need having a direct line to their kids while they are in school?
Look, I understand if there is a situation at school a child is able to let their parents know they are okay, but if you weigh out the positives and negatives, I have to think the negatives of allowing kids have phones at school outweigh the positives.
In the long run, it would actually probably be better for kids if they are not allowed to have their cellphones during the day. There are going to be things that happen in which people will say "if only they were allowed to have cellphones this could have been avoided", but that's just life. There are a lot of things we could do because something might happen.
This is another issue when the parents are the real problem. If the parents are against certain rules then the kid isn't going to respect the rules and this is part of the reason there are certain issues schools have to deal with today. That's why kids are soft today.
